Lindsey and the Angry Gato

I just whipped up this marker case, basically for free! Fused plastic bags and a reclaimed jeans zipper.

This is what I actually made today.

I’ve been inspired to try and keep an art journal again. I don’t think I ever had much of one, and it’s been a long time since I’ve kept a writing journal as well, but I took the time today and made a special journal just for me. The binding isn’t the best and I might end up modifying it, but we’ll see how it goes.

On top of the art journal are two tiny notebook pendants fashioned out of metal and paper. The reporter-style one is my favorite although the craftsmanship is admittedly amateur—solder everywhere! Oh noes!! Call the jewelry police!

It seems as though whenever I try to take pictures of my accomplishments, Bowser always manages to steal the spotlight. Even so, this photo cracks me up.

I made this monster out of an old shirt that needed to be retired. I just now finished stuffing it after about a year of it flopping around.

I put a few earrings up on my Etsy shop and needed to take pictures. Bowser thought it was a kitty photo-shoot so he struck a pose.

Bowser was helping me put together a tutorial on how to make recycled journals. He even gathered all the materials by himself! (…no he didn’t! He doesn’t have thumbs!)

Earrings made using wool fleece, wooden beads and jewelry findings. They make me think of crazy colored dreadlocks, and for a moment I am in touch with my inner “hippie.”
